"Even after life's hardest seasons, the ember within you still holds the power to ignite healing, hope, and renewal."

Hi, I'm Mariah a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes that healing begins when you feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you have everything figured out.

You don’t need to have everything figured out to start therapy.

Many people come to therapy believing they should have it all figured out. They tell themselves they should be able to push through, stop overthinking, or carry the weight on their own.

The reality is, life can be overwhelming. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, burnout, or a major life transition, there are moments when the strategies that once helped you simply aren't enough anymore.

I believe therapy is a place where you don't have to have all the answers. It's a space to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been buried beneath stress, pain, or the expectations of others.

Together, we'll explore what's keeping you stuck, build practical tools that support lasting change, and help you move toward a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling.

At Renewed by Ember Counseling, I believe healing doesn't mean becoming someone new it means rediscovering the strength that's been within you all along. Even after life's hardest seasons, the ember within you still has the capacity to grow, heal, and shine.

Why I became a counselor

A woman with dark, wavy hair and makeup, wearing a white sleeveless blouse, orange pants, and a blue wristband, holds a striped notebook and a pen while looking at the camera.

I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker because I believe everyone deserves a place where they feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to heal, and empowered enough to grow.

Throughout my life and career, I've seen how trauma, loss, adversity, and life's unexpected challenges can shape the way we see ourselves and the world around us. I've also witnessed something equally powerful the resilience people carry, even when they can't see it for themselves.

That belief is what continues to guide my work. I don't see people as broken or needing to be "fixed." I see individuals with unique stories, strengths, and experiences who deserve compassionate support as they navigate life's challenges.

Becoming an LCSW gave me the opportunity to combine my passion for helping others with evidence-based approaches that foster meaningful and lasting change. Whether you're working through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you move toward healing.

Creating Renewed by Ember Counseling was an extension of that purpose. I wanted to build more than a therapy practiceI wanted to create a space where people could feel seen, heard, and reminded that even after life's most difficult seasons, hope and healing are still possible.

It is truly an honor to be trusted with your story, and I look forward to supporting you as you rediscover your strength, embrace your resilience, and move toward a life of renewal.

I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative and human.

A family of four, including a man, a woman, and two children, are seated around a dining table in a modern kitchen. The children are receiving presents from the adults, with one child holding bananas and wearing a yellow dress with white polka dots, and the adults are handing over a gift wrapped in paper. The kitchen has white walls, a microwave on a shelf, hanging pendant lights in black, and wooden chairs around the table.

What It’s Like to Work Together

Clients often describe our sessions as conversational, supportive, and grounding.

You won’t be expected to perform or present a perfect version of yourself here. Some days you may come with clear goals. Other days you may not know where to begin, and that’s completely okay.

Together, we:

  • explore patterns with curiosity rather than criticism

  • develop practical tools you can use in everyday life

  • build emotional awareness and confidence

  • create space for honesty, reflection, and growth

Therapy moves at your pace. There is no “right way” to do it.

My Approach

I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative and human.

My work integrates evidence-based practices with a compassionate, person-centered perspective. This means we focus not only on understanding challenges but also on building skills that help you navigate life outside the therapy room.
